Meena Kumari was a legendary actress of the early 1940's starting her career at the age of 7 years old, with a tragic ending to her life at the the age of 39 years old. She embraced acting from a young age and through her difficult childhood, she engaged to perform and act to create an ambience of character and emotion in her short career.
She's left a great mark in the Bollywood industry and she truly influenced the new comers in the 1960's era. I have put together an image of her and I hope you can see how beautiful she was and how she influenced the fashion industry.

This image is from the movie; Pakeezah and the song Chalte Chalte.

She's wearing a beautiful Burnt orange churidar with zari work on the border. Her Jhumar and tikka is perfect for the look and is absolutely star strikingly beautiful with the heavy choker, complimenting the simple churidar, her hath panja perfectly suits the entire look.

I have put together a similar outfit and Jewellery set to re-create the look from Aura Boutique.
